About the Light Sheer Duet Laser Hair Removal
The LightSheer DUET is a laser that produces a relatively large beam of highly concentrated light, which is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, allowing the hair to absorb the light and heat up. As they heat up, the hair shaft and bulb are damaged, which significantly impedes their ability to re-grow. With the larger beam size, numerous hair follicles are hit simultaneously, making the treatments much faster than other laser hair removal systems.
The LightSheer DUET allows your technician to choose from two hand pieces, depending on your needs. The LightSheer High Speed hand piece uses breakthrough vacuum assisted technology, in combination with diode laser light, to allow rapid and comfortable treatment of large areas. Back or legs can now be treated in 15 to 20 minutes, without the need for topical numbing creams.
What can you expect?
Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments. This is because the laser works best when hairs are in an early growth stage, known as anagen. Because all hairs are not in the same growth phase at the same time, multiple treatments are always required. Most clients need anywhere from 4 to 8 treatments on a particular area of the body, depending on many factors such as hair colour, skin colour, texture and amount of hair. A better understanding of the entire procedure, including contraindications, treatment plan and expectations, can all be discussed with the technician during your free Laser Hair Removal Consultation.
